About FITA Ltd.

Who are we?

We are a specialist organisation focussed on providing and promoting training, learning, skills and qualifications especially for companies, business and individuals in all sectors of the fish industry.

Our company directors represent different sectors of the fisheries industry, and we employ specialist, highly experienced, well qualified staff deployed across the Highlands.

FITA covers the fish industry ‘from water to plate’. The company majors in the catching and processing sectors but we are planning to phase-in wholesaling, retailing, and fish & chip shops. Working alongside Improve Ltd we plan to branch into other food & drink segments where our skills and services are readily transferable. We are affiliated to:

Seafish (FITA is a Group Training Association of Seafish, one of a UK network of 18)
• Improve Ltd (the Food & Drink Sector Skills Council)
• SQA – an Approved Centre for the delivery of SVQ’s
• LANTRA the sector skills council for aquaculture
