Food Industry Training (FITA Ltd)

Courses and services

  • Introductory Food Hygiene - 2-3 hour REHIS certificate (Level 1)

  • Elementary Food Hygiene - one-day, REHIS Certificate (Level 2)

  • Intermediate Food Hygiene - Elearning, with tutor REHIS (Level3)

  • HACCP and Hazard Analysis - one-day, REHIS certificate (Level 2)

      The course is tailored to your products and requirements and we offer technical help writing or updating your HACCP plan and documentation

  • HACCP for Caterers - one-day REHIS certificate (Level 2)        using the CookSafe or Safer Food Better Business systems.

  • Manual Handling - 2-3 hours CIEH-based course.  FITA certificate

  • Fire Fighting awareness - for food production premises (FITA cert)

  • Training Needs Analysis and Training Plans set up.

Prices for courses of up to 15 people: 
Level 1 short courses     £200  per course plus Exam fees £10pp.                                                     Level 2 one-day courses £300 per course plus Exam fees £10 pp.
Level 3 Intermediate Food Hygiene: £350 all-in, less for further candidates in the same workplace, at the same time.

Individual joining a course: from £20 per person plus exam fee £10. Depends on number of trainees, and venue.
Venue is in your workplace if suitable, or nearby.
Training courses meet BRC and SALSA audit requirements.

Scottish Vocational Qualifications:

FITA will set up and run SVQ’s for you, specifically for your workplace
SVQ L1 & 2 NEW Food & Drink Production /Manufacturing Operations.
A1 Assessor for SVQ’s FITA provide IV services and full support.
